Letter to Homestay Family

Dear host family.
Hi. My name is Ryohei. My friends call me Ryohei. So, please call me Ryohei. I’m from Kumamoto to Japan. Kumamoto has many places to visit, for example, Kumamoto castle, Suizenzi Park, and Mt. Aso. These places are so good.
I like to play baseball. I have played it for eight years. My favorite baseball player is Ichiro. He is the most famous baseball player in Japan. I think he is the best baseball player in Japan, because he has hit two hundred hits every season since he started ten years ago in the Major league. I think he is a genius at playing baseball. I want to be like him, because I can’t play it well like him. My position is catcher. I like batting very much, but I don’t like defense. Because, batting is interesting for me, but defense is not interesting. So, I don’t practice defense so much, and I was often scolded by the manager. I didn’t like him.
We are a family of six, my grand parents, my parents and my little sister, and a dog. His name is Kotaro. He is a Shibaken. I like him, but he doesn’t like me. He often bites me. I’m very sad. But my family gets along well. My grand parents and my parents run a fruit and vegetable shop. They get up early every day. My mother gets up especially early. She gets up three a.m. every day. They work hard for us. We are thankful for them. We must be dutiful to our parents. We love them very much. My dreams are having our family business and, our family shop would be the most famous fruit and vegetables shop in Kumamoto. It was for purpose that I was admitted to school so, I must study hard.
Lastly, I have two questions to you. Do you like to play baseball? What Japanese food do you like?
I’m looking forward to seeing you. Thank you.
